Published by the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, COLUMBIA JOURNALISM REVIEW is a national magazine and web site aimed at journalists and engaged citizens. Its mission, from its founding editorial in 1961 continues to be "to assess the performance of journalism....to help stimulate continuing improvement in the profession, and to speak out for what is right, fair, and decent."
